I know men think they get the raw end of he deal when it comes to accessories but I completely disagree. In my diligent research, I have found that men’s accessories are often more well-made because men are more discerning about the purchases. There are tones of cheap accessories stores for two main reasons: 1. women love a deal 2. Accessories man a woman feel more feminine, particularly when most of her wardrobe is black. A man’s shopping behavior is based in longevity – he will spend more because he expects it to last.
Seigo is the best of both worlds. A quiet, subdued men’s accessory shop in NYC with two locations: Midtown and the Upper East Side. The accessories are handmade 100% Japanese silk, straight from the mills in Kyoto and hand silk-screen printed in Niigata. The ties and bow ties rival Zegna and Hermes and a 25% of the price.
I must confess that I have taken to wearing their bow ties. Thanks to a little youtube video, I learned how to one in under a minute and I must confess I love it against something ultra-feminine. There scarves are handmade as well and I have one in blue that is stunning. I think my Hermes scarves are in for a brief retirement…
Whether it is cufflinks or ties or perhaps a beautiful scarf for your favorite female…the only way to go is Seigo…
