Many of you may be familiar with the Persian Poet, Rumi. A shaman of a kind and philosophical wordsmith, his poetry is treasured not only as the national Poet of Turkey and Afghanistan but globally, regardless of religion or race.
Let us never forget to find love and passion, even when we are feeling depleted. The beauty of the search is that you may find it in the most unexpected places. The intimacy of a stranger can be a powerful healer. A lover who knows the secrets you can’t say. A touch, even the most ordinary, may ruminate and if you let it, can penetrate your soul.
Embrace the uncertain. Find the romance in the unconventional. Seek to look past negativity and anger. It is only a test of self-knowledge. How we feel is a choice. Lean into beauty. It is not just in the toughest moments, where we need to feel uplifted, needed and appreciated. It is too easy to be angry and like that Snickers bar, it may taste good in the moment, but it never really satisfies you like it promises.
Those secret places are not so secret if you open your eyes to the passion and beauty of life that sadly, often lies dormant.
” Lovers find secret place inside this violent world where they make transaction with beauty.”
Rumi
