Jimmy Buffett’s World – A Soundtrack for My Life

“A Pirate Looks at Forty” is a classic Jimmy Buffett song from his A1A album.  What I love the most about about Jimmy’s  music is his ability to instantly relax me.   I could be anywhere but in my mind I am relaxing in hammock by the ocean!  Jimmy Buffett’s music is one of the soundtrack of my life.  If you know me, then you know I am bit obsessed with music.

Now For a “Blue Heaven Rendezvous”

Another classic from Buffett’s  Barometer Soup album.  The immortal song “Blue Heaven Rendezvous” blends jazz, bluegrass and a bit of reggae with lyrics that are touchingly haunting and easy listening.

After all, There is Something About a Boat

How can you resist a song about seizing opportunity and seeing life with the glass always full, never empty?   “Seeing windows where there are walls…”  There is just “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Boat”  even if you are a land lover.  Life is just what you make it.

With  a “Tin Cup Chalice” and “Grapefruit-Juicy Fruit”

A  “…tin cup chalice…  fill it up with good red wine” or in  my case a great white…old world preferably.  Lay back, chew that Juicy Fruit and don’t let the reality of life spoil that perfect view.

Don’t You Wish This Lunch Could Last Forever?

This song is awesome in so many ways.  A culmination of life through rose-colored glasses and there is nothing wrong with that….savoring all that pleasures.

These are just a few of my favorite songs.  When I share my music with you, I am sharing a little piece of who I am.  The biggest moments in my life always have a soundtrack.   However, that is for another post.  In celebration, of summer, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite songs by one of my favorite musicians.

Until “Manana”

From the album Son of a Sailor.   I never forget that every day the sun rises and it sets.  A new opportunity to create a happy ending, no matter what the circumstances.

Music mood:  can you guess? ??
