The Gesture
I was recently in a place where kindness is measured in tiny increments – a genuine hello, please and thank you. The breaking of bread and wine together without a need for reciprocity. The understanding that we all have the same amount of time in a day, the only difference is how we choose spend it.
A simple gesture of good faith and good will.
Nothing is perfect. I truly appreciate my life and the people in it but when I reflect I realize that sometimes, with the pace of life, the gesture is left behind.
A mere set of quotation marks we place around our own self-importance. The realization that the ability to see 5 steps ahead of others doesn’t mean you have perfect vision.
Quote of the day: “Keep an eye on your responses. Strong responses are about you more than them.”- Auliq Ice
