Emotional Architecture

What is it we are searching for?  Is raw sex?  Is it someone to understand us?   Emotional connection?  An opportunity to experiment and reveal the darker side of our souls?   What does it take to accomplish one or all?  Are function and form separate but equal?

It is a tall order to put all of that on the shoulders of one.  Our emotional architecture is not always congruent to those around us.  We do not all have the same number of bays that will easily provide access to such notions. Our roles in life are ever evolving,  there are times when we are the buttress or the column and others times when we are a the complimentary cornice, beautiful and pleasing but not necessary in a functional capacity.

Regardless of the form and function we take in the pivotal or mundane moments of our lives, we always have a choice.  We can choose to be whoever we want.  There are times when we are the support and sometimes when we are the accoutrement.

Our brain, imaginations, emotions are all the core materials we need to help us choose our evolution.  That is where the true beauty lies- we can’t appreciate the choices we make until we make them.

Quote of the day :  ” The sun doesn’t realize how wonderful it is until after a room is made.” – Louis Kahn
