The Wings of Icarus
The Greek myth of Icarus. The son of Daedalus, a brilliant artisan. A myth that tells of young Icarus and his father being imprisoned and finding a way to escape by flying on wings they made. The story takes a tragic turn after Icarus fails to heed his father’s advice, flying too close to the sun and ultimately falling to his death as his wings melted.
Icarus was foolish for not listening to his father. He was also brave for taking a risk. He ventured beyond what was previously though of as impossible.
Inspiration. Innovation. Disruption. The wings of Icarus carefully beautifully inked on your back reminds me that achievement never happens without sacrifice.
Quote of the Day – ” Human behavior flows from three main sources: desire, emotion and knowledge.” – Plato
