Preference and roles are a funny thing in the fetish world.   We tend to label ourselves in the beginning because it feels safe to do that.  A definition gives us purpose.  It automatically sets boundaries and safety zones and makes it more relatable even to our vanilla lives where goals and milestones are set in similar way.

I wish I had advice to share.   The reality is that everybody’s journey is unique and extremely personal.  It doesn’t matter if you are looking for something 24/7 or an opportunity to experiment in the spicier side of pendulum.  You can read and educate yourself through someone else’s experiences but the feelings, thoughts, personalities and connections you make are your own. This is why I realized that nobody can ever really “mentor” you.   While you can learn how to use toys and navigate a “scene” in a more proficient way, there is no guide for the most profound lessons you learn on this journey. Those are the lessons that come from enlightenment and proactive self-development.

5 years into my journey I am still learning and growing and needing to be pushed. That is what makes this lifestyle so glorious, it is a never-ending road of wonder…
