2014 Wishes

New Years always causes people to reflect. I realize though that we are creatures of habit and while it feels good to talk about change, we v rarely act on it, or at least make it pemanent. For that reason I dont make resolutions anymore. I set goals that are achievable and have dreams to have something to aspire to.

I spent my new year’s with the people that matter the most to me, my family. My parents, sister and husband and two beautiful little neices. We played pool, watched the nail-biting Duke v Texas A &M game and sang karoke. In case you didnt know, i love karaoke. My family knew that from all my years singing in the church choir but they didnt know How much I loved singing Led Zeppelin and Van Halen ( the David Lee Roth years). At midnight, my dad brought out the Veuve and the mango-orange juice for my neices and we all sang Auld Lang Syne.

It was the first NYE in a long time that was truly memorable.

New Years Day, I attended mass with my parents because we were having a mass said on this holy day of obligation for my deceased grandparents.

I tell you all of this because I wont ever stop sharing who I am with you. I hope that there is relatability in what I do share. I have always enjoyed learning who people are and for that reason will never stop putting myself out there.

Happy new year. May your lifetime, not just your 2014 be filled with blessings, happiness, prosperity and just the right amount of kink. Don’t be ashamed to nurture that “darker”part of your soul. Its our dimensions that make us interesting.
